About Us

Karin Chao

Karin was born in Los Angeles, California. She moved to New York City in the late 90's and attended business school at New York University. After receiving her degree, she worked in trading for two global financial institutions - AIG and Merrill Lynch.

Karin was turned on to yoga after suffering a back injury from an accident.During her recovery she discovered her passion for a yogic lifestyle and left her career in finance to travel the world and study yoga. Her travels have led her to exotic places in Southeast Asia, Northern Africa, Central America, and all over Europe. While living in Thailand, Karin received her teaching certification as a yoga instructor.

Karin returned to the States in 2007, and since then has been teaching yoga to at-risk youth in public schools in Los Angeles and dance/yoga therapy to mentally challenged students.

Debbie Attias

Raised in Miami, Florida, Debbie moved to New York City when she was 17 to study photography at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

After graduation, along with a friend, she conceptualized and managed an independent performance group called Avenue D. The group went on to write and produce six albums, and a DVD. Avenue D toured globally from places in Europe, to Japan, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, and across America.

In NYC, Debbie worked as a DJ and held weekly Dance Contest parties for two years at a popular club downtown. She has also worked as a photographer shooting street portraits in New York for different fashion and culture magazines.
